look at what i discovered yesterday. saw these from the albums my grandmother brought to our house from her home. these were pictures of my nephew when he was born. i was fresh out of college while my sister (his mom) was still studying when he was born, so i was left the task of making sure that my nephew's growing years are documented in pictures.
i can't even remember ever doing this album with mattings and letter cut outs.
what i remember though is that i have always been a crafty girl. got it from my mom. i still recall our photo albums designed with magazine cutouts. will have to check those albums the next time we visit home {what had happened to those cutouts, if they have already fallen apart}
it was JP's 5th missing tooth but it was not that big a deal for me to dedicate a post but i just cannot pass the chance to share the amusing event of losing this particular tooth.
he lost the first one in march {it was at school so we don't have a souvenir of it}, too early at 5 1/2 y/o if you ask me. got pictures of it but since it looked normal to me, didn't really give too much thought about it. 2nd to the 4th tooth followed uneventfullly.
then came the 5th tooth which is one of his top front teeth. this one started to wiggle two weeks ago and he complained that it hurts. last wednesday (march 28) while having lunch, his chicken was tender yet too hard for his wiggly tooth so it started to bleed. he would spit at the sink and continue eating. and being the hemophobic that i am, i couldn't move my fingers and my feet just seeing his bloody tooth and gums. and my son took advantage of this by showing me his bloody tooth {while laughing hard, of course}. and while munching on his chicken, his tooth broke lose. upon seeing him without his front tooth, hubby and i started laughing because he was just so cute {funny} without 'that' tooth.
since then, every time he asks or tells me something, he would give me his toothless grin. very funny and cute.
and here's a glimpse of what i see everyday since that fateful wednesday. come and share a laugh with me.
