we all have our own favorite things to do on our downtime. and i am no exception. when i do get a chance, i indulge in watching tv. i love series but i also like lifestyle programs. today is CSI Sunday. Sunday is the day when all 3 CSIs are shown consecutively. for those who missed the regular showing, it's the day to catch all 3 in one sitting. thanks to cable television, there are replays. because i work at night, i miss a lot of my favorite programs. today (or rather last wednesday) was the premiere episode of CSI (Las Vegas) season 8. it's my hubby and my favorite. CSI i s also our bonding time (because we can no longer go out on dates due to time issues). season 7 ended with a cliffhanger episode which will be continued in the next season. so we waited a long time before we can conclude what had happened. it ended with the reveal of the miniature killer (as well as Grissom's and Sara's secret relationship) and with the disappearance of one of their own, Sara. the miniature killer got to Sara and trapped her under an inverted car in the desert. while season 8 begins with the capture of the miniature killer who is mentally sick. they cannot make her tell them where Sara is. with a storm forming, they need to figure out (faster) where she is before it is too late. it was nerve wracking because they are pressured to find her before she drowns in the forecasted amount of rain that was expected to pour. with flashbacks on what had happened prior to Sara getting trapped in the desert, you really can't be sure if she will die or survive. it was only when i saw her escape from under the car that i sighed. i was so sure then that she will live. and when they finally found the car but she wasn't there and Grissom finding another dead body (whom they first thought was Sara; predictable plots - hehe, but we really enjoy the thrill). it was Nick who saw the glint from the rearview mirror that Sara didn't toss when she escaped under the car (i knew it, that thing has its purpose). she was unconscious and they flew her from there to the hospital. she was attended to on board the helicopter and when she regained consciousness, it was Grissom's name plate that she first saw (is that romantic or what - hihi). one of my favorites, CSI. and it was worth getting up at noon just to watch it (with only 4 hours of sleep and still have to work tonight). for the love of the show.
